Race-car driver Scott Pruett is a master in the vineyard as well as at the track, and his Pruett Vineyard has released four new vintages this fall in time for the gift-giving seasons. The recent releases include a 2008 Pruett Napa Cab, a 2010 Pruett Grenache, a 2009 Lucky Lauren Red and a 2009 Pruett Estate Syrah--which tastes of purple fruits with traces of ginger and black pepper--that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Hyundai dished more details about its redesigned 2015 Hyundai Sonata at the New York auto show, including plans to introduce a “Sport” trim level for the U.S. market to compete with the Toyota Camry SE and Honda Accord Sport. “We were actually able to do quite a lot,” to differentiate the sporty Sonata version and a couple more variations, said John Shon, product planning manager for Hyundai Motor America.
TV host and car collector Barry Meguiar remains hospitalized in Monterey, Calif., recovering from a viral infection, but his condition is improving, a spokeswoman said on Wednesday. Meguiar, 67, was said to be in stable condition last week. On Wednesday, the spokeswoman said Meguiar was still on the mend and was awake.
